Born from Architecture
Several years ago, I was looking for an apartment in Milan.
I approached each viewing as I would a project brief — evaluating proportions, natural light, ceiling heights and structural potential, rather than focusing on finishes or surface metrics.
For every property that interested me, I carried out a simple architectural study to understand what the apartment truly was, what it could become, and whether the asking price reflected that potential.
What surprised me was not the process itself, but the absence of it.
Buyers were comparing properties through square metres and floor level. Listings were presented without any architectural reading of what made one space fundamentally different from another.
The spatial intelligence that should have guided acquisition decisions was missing.
